Teen Mindfulness Workshop
Work It Out Counseling is excited to offer our upcoming workshop, Teen Mindfulness. The 5-week program is designed to help teens learn critical emotional and social skills while empowering them to live their best life.
The workshop is co-facilitated by Massiel Hernandez, LCSW and Christel Mamaril, RMHCI.
Massiel is trained in mindfulness based cognitive therapy and Christel is trained in mindfulness based stress reduction therapy.
Massiel and Christel will provide a safe place where participants can have an open and meaningful conversation about everyday issues that are impacting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Teens ages 13 to 17
July 8 through August 5, 2021
Day & Time:
Thursday evenings 6:00 to 7:00 PM
The workshop is $210 for the 5-week program. Cost includes the workbook and a final project.

The program will help teens to understand and practice mindfulness to bring about positive changes in their day-to-day lives.
The program will guide teens to an understanding of how to accept and love themselves in instances of perceived inadequacy, failure, or negative self-talk. Self-compassion helps us to incorporate self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness.
The program will teach teens how to problem-solve, establish healthy boundaries, and communicate in healthy ways.
This program will teach teens how to utilize the tools that they already have along with their strengths and innate capabilities to positively impact their lives and their community.
